Minister Koca denied the first statement of the governor 2020-06-21 12:53:46 DİYARBAKIR - Diyarbakir Governor Münir Karaloğlu announced the number of patients in intensive care in Diyarbakır as 20, while Health Minister Koca announced that the number was 30.   Turkey's death toll rose to 4,927, as it reported 22 new fatalities in the past 24 hours. The number of active COVID-19 cases in Turkey stands at 22,738. Minister of Health confirmed Saturday 1,312 daily recoveries from COVID-19 bringing the total to more than 158,800.   After he was appointed as a trustee in the Diyarbakır Municipality and the Diyarbakır Governorship, the first statement that Münir Karaloğlu announced was denied by the Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca. Karaloğlu held a press conference yesterday afternoon to announce the measures to be taken after the Diyarbakır Provincial Pandemic Board meeting. "There are a total of 205 cases in Diyarbakır, of which 20 patients in intensive care units and 6 patients on ventilators struggle to survive," said Karaloğlu during the press conference. However, it has been revealed by the later statements of Minister Koca that the figures announced by Karaloğlu do not reflect the truth.   '30 PATIENTS' IN INTENSIVE CARE   Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared intensive care data on the provinces where the number of cases increased in his official social media account.  "In some of the provinces where the number of cases has increased in recent days, the number of intensive care patients: 30 in Diyarbakır, 41 in Kayseri, 22 in Batman, 46 in Bursa. We must gradually clear the gap between measures," shared Koca in his official Twitter account.
