Criminal complaint against Minister of Interior Soylu 2020-06-25 11:33:12   NEWS CENTER - Antalya Bar Association President Polat Balkan filed a complaint against Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin and law enforcement officers in the area due to the blocking of the march bar heads wanted to take to Ankara.   Antalya Bar Association President Polat Balkan filed a criminal complaint with the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on grounds that they “deprived the people of their liberty and tortured them” about the Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin and law enforcement officers.     Bar presidents who organized a march to Ankara from all over Turkey against the legal regulation change AKP- MHP government wanted to make in the Lawyers Act, were blockaded by the police at the enterance of the capital city Ankara. Antalya Bar President Polat Balkan who were locked in police barricades for 26 hours with other bar presidents, filed a criminal complaint against the Minister Soylu, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin and the police officers on duty at the time at that area.   Balkan who stated in his petition that they were locked in for 26 hours under the rain and the incoming aid was also prevented by the police and that they did not even have access to toilets during that time, said those who gave orders that are against the constitution and those who implement those orders must be punished.
