Peace Mothers: Isolation is the tears of the mothers

	İSTANBUL - Peace Mothers reacting to the aggravated isolation imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan and stating that the solution to the Kurdish problem is in İmralı, said: "Isolation is the tears of the mothers."

	Reacting to the aggravated isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, Peace Mothers stated that the Kurdish people are isolated in the person of Öcalan and pointed out that the solution is in İmralı.

	 

	'PEACE DID NOT SUIT THEIR BOOK'

	 

	Drawing attention to the fact that Öcalan's ideas are open, inclusive and serving peace, mother Bedia Gökgöz stated that isolation is imposed on all of the society in the person of Öcalan.  Noting that in the absence of isolation, the wars in Syria, Libya and the Federated Kurdistan Region would not have happened, Gökgöz said: "Isolation is being imposed on Mr. Öcalan for ensuring peace."

	 

	Referring to AKP's insistence in war, Gökgöz said: "We will all see how peace is achieved if and when the isolation is over. We will see that the war will end and things will go better. When the war will be over, the bullies in power will have nothing to protect their power. Peace does not suit their book. Everywhere is a war zone. They built their power on this war and that's why they don't want the war to be over. Öcalan want peace, this doesn't suit their book. That's why they impose this isolation on him. "

	 

	'SOCIETY REMAINED UNRESPONSIVE'

	 

	Gökgöz stated that despite the limited opportunity of telling about his ideas during the peace process, Turkey's economic, social and political issues were resolved for a little while. Pointing out that the economic crisis, unemployement, violence against women is connected to the isolation, Gökgöz said: "He is the architect of peace and we are the peace mothers. We are relieved when he leads. That's why they are blocking both his path and ours. Everywhere is a war zone. We can not breathe."

	 

	'ISOLATION IS THE TEARS OF THE MOTHERS'

	 

	Behiye Duman, another peace mother stated that more than 40 million Kurd are under isolation. Duman said: "He is a leader of the people. The is the leader of Kurdistan. Stating that the isolation hurts them and they consider this as an insult to the Kurdish people, Duman said: "Isolation is the tears of the mothers. This isolation must end. Blood spills as a result of this isolation. Wars start for this isolation. Young people dies, people are being displaced as a result of it. We demand the isolation in İmralı and all other prisons to be over."

	 

	'ÖCALAN FOUGHT AGAINST TYRANNY'

	 

	Stating that international democratic institutions and organizations, especially the CPT, should not remain silent against isolation and should take action to end it, Duman stated that even the word 'Kurd' is banned and their existance is ignored and they faced tyranny throughout their history. Stating that Öcalan fought against this and make the whole world hear about it, Duman said: "The struggle of Öcalan is for our language and culture. He revolted against this persecution. . Öcalan struggled just to end this persecution. Thousands of our youth died on this path. We do not accept this isolation. My call to the Kurdish people; Let's unite against isolation on September 1, World Peace Day."
