Dr. Yaviç: More healthcare professionals may resign 2020-08-17 11:35:36   VAN- Stating that the increase in the cases was predictable in the normalization process, Van-Hakkari Medical Chamber President Dr. Hüseyin Yaviç said more healthcare professionals may resign in the upcoming days.   Van- Hakkari Medical Chamber President Dr. Hüseyin Yaviç evaluated the increase in the covid-19 cases and the situation of healthcare professionals following the normalization process. Yaviç pointed out that the healthcare workers were the most affected by the outbreak and told that the reason for the resignations is the inhumane working conditions.   'OUR DATA DOES NOT MATCH WITH THE DATA OF THE MINISTRY'   Stating that there is a difference between the number of cases shared by the Ministry of Health and the number of cases they experience in the hospitals, Yaviç said: "The data of the Ministry of Health and the data of the Turkish Medical Association and local medical chambers do not match for a long time now. According to our data, the number of cases have been increasing dramatically. This is what we see at the hospitals as well."   MORE PEOPLE MIGHT RESIGN   Referring to the resignations of physicians in many provinces in recent days, Yaviç noted that the reason for this was the intense and inhumane working conditions. Yaviç said: "At the beginning of the outbreak, they rhapsodized the health care workers saying pay away the healthcare workers. And they actually didn't. They still don't. In addition to not paying the healthcare workers' rights, they also make them work in inhumane conditions. They work by sacrificing family and personal life. For example, they faced written defense requests and investigations due to incomplete monitoring of Kovid-19 to Family Physicians.  In this sense, it is inevitable that this problem will bring resignations of physicians in the upcoming days."
