Promotion to prosecutor who prepared Kavala indictment

	ANKARA -  Istanbul Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Hasan Yılmaz, who prepared an indictment against Osman Kavala, was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Justice.

	Deputy Minister of Justice Cengiz Öner was dismissed with a Presedential decree, published in the Official Gazette. Istanbul Deputy Chief Public Prosecutor Hasan Yılmaz was appointed to replace former Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice, Cengiz Öner.

	 

	Yılmaz will also work in the First Chamber of the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK), which deals with the investigation and appointment of judges and prosecutors.

	 

	Yılmaz had prepared the second indictment against the businessman Osman Kavala, who was acquitted from the Gezi trial, and was accused of  "changing the constitutional order" and "espionage" with the second indictment.
