Peace Mothers demand freedom for Öcalan 2020-12-05 10:12:10 HAKKARİ - Peace Mothers who do not want war or death, emphasized today that the way to end the war is through ending the isolation ob PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.   Abdullah Öcalan who was delivered to Turkey with an interstate conspiracy on February 15, 1999, is under absolute isolation in İmralı Type F High Security Prison for 21 years. Öcalan who is not allowed to be visited by his family of attorneys for various reasons, was able to speak to his brother on the phone for the first time on April 27.   The only contact with Öcalan was made as a result of the hunger strike initiated by the prisoners and the Peace Mothers who supported them. So the PKK and PAJK prisoners started a hunger strike again on November 27, demanding the isolation to be terminated.   Peace Mother Emine Engüdar from Hakkari, Yüksekova, drew attention to the fact that conflict does not end as long as the isolation continues. Demanding the isolation to be terminated, Engüdar called on to the Ministry of Justice to end the isolation. Engüdar said: "Everyone who says they are Kurdish are under arrest. We want peace, justice and freedom for everyone. The government isolates everything that is Kurdish. We want a permanent peace."
