Aslan said "We will continue to persue the truth" while he was being taken to the prison. Our reporter Mehmet Aslan who was taken into custody on January 5 in İstanbul and brought to Antalya was referred to court here. Aslan denied all accusations. JOURNALISM WAS ON TRIAL Stating that he was accused of his activities as a journalist, Aslan said: "I have been training for 20 years as a journalist. I have been working as a journalist for 2 years. I work at Mesopotamia Agency. I have never been a member of any illegal structure, nor have I any affiliation. The accusations against me were all about my activities as a journalist. I have never been instructed by any organization to do anything and there is no evidence of it. I deny all accusations." Aslan's attorney İslam Aslan told that his client is a journalist and he has been gathering information from his sources about the incidents he thought news worthy and use them in the agency he works for and demanded his release. ASLAN WAS ARRESTED Aslan was referred to Criminal Court of Peace on duty with the accusation of 'being a member of a terrorist organization'. Aslan was arrested with the accusation of membership of a terrorist organization. ASLAN: WE WILL CONTINUE TO PERSUE THE TRUTH Our reporter Aslan told that he was arrested for his work as a journalist and told that he will continue to persue the truth. Aslan was taken to Antalya Type L Closed Prison.
