Journalist Eliyas: Êzidîs have no trust in anyone but YBŞ 2021-02-12 10:04:38   NEWS CENTER - Drawing attention to the fact that ISIS was mobilized following Turkey's visit to the region, Journalist Yasir Eliyas from Shengal said: "For this reason, the Shengalis have no trust in anyone but the Êzîdxan Public Security and the YBŞ."   The mobility in the region continues after the Shengal Agreements was signed between Iraqi Central Government and Federated Kurdistan District on October 9. While Iraqi Army deployed thousands of troops to the region, ISIS started to mobilize recently. The sit in the Shengalis started to support Êzîdxan Public Security Forces in now on its 73rd day. Journalist Yasir Eliyas spoke to Mesopotamia Agency (MA) about the recent developments in the region.   THERE'S NO TRUST IN THE KDP   Stating that the Êzidî does not have anymore trust in the Barzani family, Eliyas said: "The Êzidîs have created their own military forces after the last massacre. Above all, a great faith was born. For the first time in history the Êzidîs have become the ones to fight for their lives. That created a confidence in themselves. They now have faith and hope for themselves. There is a serious reaction agains the KDP in the region. KDP has never given anything but pain to the Êzidîs. The most obvious example of it is the massacre in 2014. KDP left the Êzidîs to be slaughtered and ran. Êzidîs now only have faith in the YBŞ and the Êzidxan Public Security forces.   Pointing out that the Yazidis were wanted to be completely destroyed with the Shengal agreement, Eliyas said, “This agreement is the agreement of Erdoğan, Kazımi (Iraqi Prime Minister) and Barzani. It is a tripartite agreement. We can define it this way. This agreement was signed in the interests of this trio. They want to destroy the Êzidîs with laws. This agreement was signed without consulting the Êzidîs by parties who caused the slaugther of the Êzidîs. The only aim of this agreement is to destroy the Êzidîs. Everyone must know this. But the Êzidîs have created their own identity and they will not fulfill their plans easily. The Êzidîs will fight back."   ISIS MOBILIZED AFTER TURKEY'S VISIT   Emphasizing that ISIS has mobilized following the visit of Turkey, Eliyas said: "There was a bombing in Baghdad right after this visit. Other attacks were carried out as well. There are claims that Turkey uses ISIS for these attacks. ISIS is being used against the people. The Iraqi government is also threatened by the ISIS."     MA / Zeynep Durgut
