
Cells raided by guards in Düzce Prison

	ADANA - Political prisoners in Düzce Type T Closed Prison stated that they were subjected to raids and investigations against them arbitrarily.

	The political prisoners held in Düzce Type T Closed Prison told about the violations of rights they were being subjected to, to their families on the phone. Vedat Gültekin said the guards carrying out arbitrary raids on their cells insults them during the searches and damage their belongings. Gültekin who underlined that there are prisoners on hunger strike in their ward, told that the guards threw the sugar and salt on the ground. Gültekin said: "They are opening investigations against us for singing in Kurdish. Pressure on us increases day by day with the ongoing hunger strike against the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan. We will continue the hunger strike until our demands are met."
