First statement of Gergerlioğlu: I don't recognize the decision

	ANKARA - HDP member Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu stated that he did not recognize the decision regarding him being stripped of his status as MP and he will resist at the parliament. Gergerlioğlu said: "I will use the authority I recieved from the people to the end."

	 

	Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Kocaeli Deputy Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu sent a video message to the Mesopotamia Agency (MA) after the decision was read.

	 

	I WAS APPOINTED BY THE PEOPLE

	 

	Stating that he will resist at the parliament, Gergerlioğlu said: "They just read the so called decision and stripped me of my status as a member of the parliament. This is an unlawful decision. This decision violates the constitution. I was appointed by the people, not by these tyrants."

	 

	'WE WILL CONTINUE TO RESIST'

	 

	Gergerlioğlu told that HDP and other opposition parties are waiting at the General Assembly with him. Gergerlioğlu said: "Dozens of MPs stayed at the general assembly, saying that they did not recognize this decision. I too don't recognize this decision. I will use the authority I recieved from the people to the fullest extent. We will not let them trample on the will of the people. We will resist at the General Assembly until the Constitutional Court makes the right decision."
