
Scores detained in Mardin

	MARDİN - Scores of people including Kurdish writer Adil Başaran and HDP Provincial Deputy Co-Chair Ahmet Eken was detained in an operation early this morning.

	&nbsp;

	Kurdish writer Adil Başaran and HDP Deputy Provincial Co-chair Ahmet Eken were detained with raids on their homes in Mardin's Artuklu and Kızıltepe districts early this morning. It was stated many other houses were raided in the city.

	&nbsp;

	While the detainees were taken to the Mardin Provincial Security Directorate, a statement was made from the Police Department on the issue. In the police statement, it was stated that 26 people were detained in Istanbul, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Urfa and Antalya within the scope of the Mardin-based operation, and that the operation was against Democratic Society Congress (DTK).
