
Call for solidarity with Assoc. Dr. Kayıran from Education Union

	ANKARA - Stating that her dismissal from Ankara University has no legal basisEğitim Sen Number 5 Universities Branch, Assoc. Dr. Meltem Kayıran called for solidarity for the reversal of the decision.

	&nbsp;

	Education and Science Workers Union (Eğitim Sen) No. 5 Universities Branch, made a statement regarding Assoc. Dr. Meltem Kayıran who was dismissed from &nbsp;Ankara University (AU) Faculty of Political Sciences (Civil Society) Department of Finance.

	&nbsp;

	The Political Sciences Faculty Administrative Board and the University Rectorate was condemned in the statement.

	&nbsp;

	'IT HAS NO LEGAL BASIS'

	&nbsp;

	Underlining that the decision to dismiss her has no legal basis, it was highlighted that an academic of 30 years who has more than 300 students, thesis consultancies can not be dismissed in the middle of the education period.&nbsp;

	&nbsp;

	'WE WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT'

	&nbsp;

	The statement continued: "We will not accept this unlawful decision that targets Meltem Kayıran, one of the most courageous bearers of our university struggle for the benefit of academic freedoms and human-nature-focused society. We will continue to fight until this unlawful decision is reversed. We are calling on all university components to support this struggle."
