Mazloum Ebdi and Kurd met with Swedish Defense Minister 2021-04-20 09:13:35   NEWS CENTER - Today, a video call took place between the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, and Swedish Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist, in the presence of the Deputy Co-chairmanship of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Badran Çia Kurd, during which they discussed the security, economic and humanitarian situation in north eastern Syria.   The two sides discussed a number of issues, most notably the "war against terrorism" and the continuation of operations against ISIS mercenaries whose influence continues on the region and the world, in addition to the issues of camps, redevelopment of the region, support for the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.   Where the Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces noted during the meeting, that the Swedish government continues to support solutions to the region of north eastern Syria, expressed his aspiration to continue working between them and the Swedish government in the security, military fields and everything that serves the war against terrorism and ISIS mercenaries.   Abdi stressed the importance of reaching a long-term solution that serves the stability of the region and its inhabitants, including support for service projects to reduce the influence of ISIS cells.   Abdi also talked about the (Humanitarian and Security) campaign carried out by the Syrian Democratic Forces, the Internal Security Forces, and the People's, Women's Protection Units, which took place in Al-Hol camp between March 28th and April 2nd against ISIS sleeper cells   On the other hand, Abdi indicated that efforts will continue to relieve the camp by the neighboring and western countries repatriating their citizens in Al-Hol camp.   For his part, the Swedish Minister of Defense stressed that "the international coalition must work diligently to find new formulas that produce better results," stressing that "rehabilitating the infrastructure and providing a safe and decent life for the population will contribute greatly to ending ISIS.   In turn, Çia Kurd indicated that the region has suffered a long war and needs international support to back on its feet again in addition to the large number of displaced people in the region, and he also touched on the seriousness of the outbreak of the Corona virus in the region amid the lack of capabilities to stop this epidemic.   At the end of the meeting, the two parties stressed the importance of continuing meetings between them in the context of supporting the stability and development of the region and continuing the war against ISIS mercenaries.
