HPG fighter Soylu claimed had been killed by Turkish forces found alive in hospital 2021-05-05 13:09:14   ŞIRNAK - HPG member Fırat Şişman whom the pro-government media announced to be killed in an operation, turned up at the hospital. Şişman has been in the Intensive Care Unit for the last 25 days. His family told that they did not know which hospital he was being held in and that they are concerned.   In the rural areas of Şırnak and Siirt, in a region called Besta, 8 people claimed to be HPG members were killed on April 10. While the bodies of 8 people were held at the morgue of the Şırnak State Hospital, Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu wrote, "Hey, hey, 6 terrorist have died in Pig mountain in Şırnak and one had turned to red. Heroes, God bless you! You have gladden our hearts" from Twitter.    SOYLU: WE CAUGHT HIM 17 DAYS AGO   In a TV show Soylu participated in later, Soylu announced that Şişman was not killed, he was in fact alive. Soylu said: "We have neutralized 10 people in Gabar. We didn't say we killed them, not did we say that they were alive. We have Fırat Şişman with the code name Özgür Gabar, who was in the red list, in our hands for 17 days. He is alive."   HE IS DISCHARGED FROM THE ICU   Şişman's family applied to the Şırnak Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It was stated that he was in the ICU, he was in no shape to speak to them, and he is fighting for his life. Then the family tried to obtain some information from the Şırnak State Hospital but the hospital said they did not have such a patient.    MEETING WITH THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE   Şişman's brother Süleyman Şişman stated that the family lawyers met with the prosecutor yesterday. Brother Şişman shared the information they obtained about his brother as follows: "The prosecutor said that they did not know that the person who was kept in intensive care was my brother Fırat and that's why they didn't inform the family. The prosecutor said my brother undergone a surgery and has been in the ICU for 17 days and he was doing better now."   REQUEST OF THE FAMILY REJECTED   Brother Şişman said: "They haven't taken his statement yet. Our lawyer submitted out request to accompany him at the hospital to help him was rejected on grounds of the pandemic."   FAMILY DOESN'T KNOW WHICH HOSPITAL HE IS AT   Pointing out that they did not know which hospital his brother was being held at, Şişman demanded that they want to be informed. Şişman said: "We want to see him for themselves. We are concerned about his life. We want to see him and know how he is doing. We invite the non governmental organizations to be sensitive about this issue."
