Önlü: Social opposition must be built against the closure case against HDP 2021-06-08 11:29:19   ANKARA - Stating that the closure case against the HDP is a political vengeance, HDP Vice President Alican Önlü said: "It is time to built a social opposition. It is time for democracy allience to be involved in the social opposition."   The indictment, which was prepared again with the signature of the Supreme Court Chief Public Prosecutor Bekir Şahin, demanding the closure of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) was sent to the Constitutional Court (AYM). After the report to be prepared by the rapporteur to be appointed by the Constitutional Court, it will also be determined whether the indictment against the HDP will be accepted or not. The previous indictment was rejected by the Constitutional Court on the grounds that "necessary connections were not made between the actions of the authorized organs of the party and the act of being the focal point regulated in Articles 68 and 69 of the Constitution". In the indictment which was prepared for the second time, it was also a matter of curiosity how the prosecutor's office justified the necessary association between the "act of being the focus" in 3 months.   The fact that the closure case againt the HDP was submitted on the anniversary of the June 7 elections, which made AKP lose the chance of being the only ruling party and forced to be in an alliance, was evaluated as a 'political revenge'.   Alican Önlü, HDP's Co-Chair in charge of Organizing spoke to Mesopotamia Agency (MA) regarding the law suit against the party to be banned. Evaluating the fact that no law suit was filed against those exposed by Sedat Peker while a law suit was filed against HDP to be banned, Önlü said: "There is no such thing as an independent court in Turkey to take action against these allegations. The state has become a gang. And while all of these allegations are being made and no action is being taken, they are trying to ban our party for the second time. Our party has become a target since January 7 elections in 2015. Our MPs have been jailed, our mayors were dismissed from office with baseless accusations, our members were arrested for taking part in the party events. Non of these stopped us from getting bigger. Closing HDP is the last step of this plan. Our party does not consist of a building or a signboard. It is a common ground for the struggle for democracy and peace. It can not be banned. We have underlined that we will defend this idea to the end over and over again. Filing the law suit on the anniversary of June 7 elections indicates that this is a revenge. June 7 is the day the AKP has lost its domination in the parliament. This is a case of revenge and it is not a legal case. Just like the Kobané case is a revenge for the Kurds defeating ISIS, the closure case against our party is a case of revenge for losing on June 7.    6 MILLION CONSTITUENTS HAVE COMMITTED A CRIME!   Emphasizing that the statement of the Chief Public Prosecutor of the Supreme Court Bekir Şahin who said “The defendant party has committed, provoked and encouraged such crimes through almost all of its organs, members and organizations does not comply with any customs, Önlü said: "The prosecutor says a party whşch has thousands of volunteers, central commissions, women and youth assemblies, local administrations and presence in the parliament has committed a crime with all of its voters. It implies that 6 million constituents have committed a crime. Then you should have ten million files against each person. No such statement has been included in the files against any party that has been banned so far. Apart from the tens of thousands of members, directors, employees, deputies and voters of this party, it aims to cover all the forces of democracy for afilliating with our party."   ROAD MAP   Önlü continued, "This process should be carried out with the organization of social opposition, mass actions and activities. We will of course resist and fight against unlawfulness with our party organs. However, the most basic pillar of getting rid of this corruption is a social struggle, a social opposition. This is the case in the law suit against our party to be banned. We have to end this corruption and build a social reaction. It is time to built a social opposition. It is time for democracy allience to be involved in the social opposition."   MA / Berivan Altan
