SNA members brought by Turkey are settled in villages emptied by the KDP

	HEWLER - Turkey is relocating SNA members and their families brought from Syria to the villages they displaced the local people from in Federated Kurdistan through the KDP. KDP provides support to Ankara, which is trying to change the demographic structure of the region with the bases it wants to establish through operations.

	The operations launched by Turkey on April 23 in Metina, Avaşin and Zap in the Federated Kurdistan Region continue. Unable to make any progress on land, Turkey routinely bombs Girê spi, Tabura Ereban and Girê Sor areas in the Avaşin region with drones, warplanes and helicopters. Having difficulties on land, Turkey is trying to settle in new areas through the KDP. While Turkish Armed Forces suffered great losses, especially in the Avaşin region, nearly 70 villages from Zaxo to Bradost were evacuated with the initiative of the KDP. The efforts to relocate SNA members and their families to the Zaxo, Amediye and Duhok continue. The fact that Afghan reugees will be settled in these areas are widely discussed among the people. If that plan succeeds, the same plan will be initiated in Silemani and Halabja, controlled by PUK. 

	 

	CIVIL SETTLEMENTS ARE BEING EVACAUTED

	 

	So far, 2,000 acres of land has been damaged within the borders of the town of Kanimasi due to the bombardment. Vineyards, orchards and other fruit trees belonging to the people were deliberately set on fire. Mercenary Gulan and Zerawani forces under the command of Aziz Veysi were deployed on behalf of the MİT to settle in the Barzan region from Çemço to Sheladize. In order to facilitate the reconnaissance of the Turkish Armed Forces with drones and to increase its dominance in the area, these mercenary forces want civilian settlements to be completely evacuated in order to gather intelligence from the local area. On this basis, villages in the Metina area such as Hiror, Kêste, Çelkê, Deşêş, Serero, Hedine, Binavê, Edinê and Ore are kept under constant bombardment. Dêşêşe village was one of the first villages to be evacuated. The KDP, which ambushed and kidnapped 3 HPG members in the Xelifan district of Behdinan area, resorts to similar tactics in the Metina and Kani Masi sub-districts.

	 

	THE PURPOSE IS PERMANENT SETTLEMENT

	 

	With the operations launched by Turkey on the Raperin Soran line in December 2017, it wanted to break the Behdinan (Zap, Metina Heftanin areas) and Soran (Xakurkê, Xinêre, Diyala and Sîdeka areas) lines from each other. Turkey is partially positioned in this area. 

	 

	Trying to change the demographic structure on the one hand, Turkey continues its plan to assimilate the peoples in the region with the schools it inherited from Fettullah Gülen.128 schools operating under the name of Işık Colleges in the Kurdistan Region provide "Turkist-Islamic" education. In this context, Turkey, which has put schools into operation by changing their names, uses Duhok and its surroundings as a pilot region.
