Asrın Law Office: Talking about the Kurdish question without Öcalan is not a solution 2021-09-22 16:12:43 İSTANBUL -  Asrın Law Office stated that discussing the solution of the Kurdish question without Öcalan is not a permanent solution and made a statement that "debates without confronting the fact that the isolation deepens the deadlock will not go beyond being cyclical". Asrın Law Office made a written statement on the discussions on the role of their client, PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, in the solution of the Kurdish problem. In the statement made in both Kurdish and Turkish, it was said, "Debates have been ongoing regarding the position of our client, Abdullah Öcalan, and his role in the solution of the Kurdish problem. However, he is not given the opportunity to speak on these and similar issues."   THE PATH TO PERMANENT SOLUTION   The statement, which pointed out that Öcalan is under aggravated isolation and all his rights are banned, continued: "Kurdish question so far hasn't been solved by the ruling parties even it could have been solved. Talking about the Kurdish question without Öcalan will not lead to a permanent solution. There is no doubt that the most important interlocutor for an honorable solution to the Kurdish question and the construction of a democratic future is Mr. Öcalan. His resistance against the isolation is aimed at the continuation of these efforts.   PEACE WITHOUT HDP IS NOT POSSIBLE   As the representative of democratic negotiation policy, HDP is the social pioneer which claims to organize peace and democracy. It is not possible  for a solution to to be found without the HDP and to present the ground for peace to the peoples of Turkey.   ÖCALAN ALSO POINTED AT THE PARLIAMENT FOR A SOLUTION   The Kurdish question is ultimately a constitutional question. Öcalan himself pointed out that the solution was possible through constitution, legal steps and through the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. However, despite this, the practice of isolation continues as a method of deadlock.   ISOLATION DEEPENS THE DEADLOCK   The discussions without confronting the fact that an aggravated isolation is imposed on Mr. Öcalan, which is a violation of the prohibition of torture stems from this deadlock and debates without confronting the fact that the isolation deepens the deadlock will not go beyond being cyclical. The isolation must end and it is also very necessary to ensure Öcalan's ability to exercise all his fundamental rights. This must be promissed."
