Journalist Karakaş: Our wards were raided with 'special teams' 2021-11-01 15:01:09   ADANA - Journalist İbrahim Karakaş, who stated that the wards were raided by a "special team" and his belongings were confiscated, said that he was injured as a result of a fall, but was not taken to the hospital because he refused to allow the guards to search inside his mouth.   İbrahim Karakaş, an employee of the Yeni Yaşam Newspaper, held in Adana Kürkçüler F Type Closed Prison, shared the violations of rights they were subjected via through his family. Expressing that the raid on their ward was a provocation attempt, Karakaş said he fell from the stairs cleaning the ward and injured himself but the prison administration did not take him to the hospital because he refused to allow the guards to search inside his mouth.   'A SPEACIAL TEAM RAIDED OUR WARD'   Karakaş said: "They brought a special team to the prison on Wednesday (October 27) and made them search the wards. They confiscated our books, our notebooks, magazines and newspapers without any reason. We filed a criminal complaint against them but it was not processed."   'THEY TRIED TO SEARCH INSIDE OF MY MOUTH'   Stating that he fell from the stairs cleaning the ward afterwards and taken to the infirmary, Karakaş said: "They tried to search inside of my mouth and they tried to handcuff me. I did not allow them to do it and I wasn't taken to the hospital because of that. I am still in pain and I have bruises all over my body. I wasn't taken to hospital despite my wounds."
