Parliamentary immunity of HDP MP Güzel being discussed at Parliament 2022-01-20 13:17:31 ANKARA - While HDP Deputy Semra Güzel's proceedings began to be discussed in the Joint Commission, journalists and consultants were removed from the hall. Discussions on lifting the parliamentary immunity of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Diyarbakır MP Semra Güzel started at the Joint Commission, which consists of the Constitution and Justice Commission. HDP Women's Council Spokesperson Ayşe Acar Başaran, Group Deputy Chair Meral Danış Beştaş, MPs Abdullah Koç, Oya Ersoy, Hüseyin Kaçmaz, Zuleyha Gülüm, Murat Çepni, Şevin Coşkun, Serpil Kemalbay, Erdal Aydemir, Ayşe Sürücü, Nuran Imir, Filiz Kerestecioğlu, Celadet Gaydalı , Mahmut Toğrul and Necdet İpekyüz participated in the discussions as observers.   Journalists and advisors of the MPs were removed from the whole with the instruction of Commission Chair Bekir Bozdağ.  It has been learned that the discussions regarding the removal of non-member deputies are continuing in the commission.   The comission discussions continue closed to the press.
