'Victory in Haseké is the beginning of a new era'

	NEWS CENTER - Celebrating the victory in Hesekê, the PYD General Council said that the unity of the people and military forces brought the victory.

	 

	The General Council of the Democratic Union Party saluted the victory achieved in Al-Hasakah, stressing that the military and civil cohesion achieved victory in the "Al-Hasakah epic" and said: "Let us make this epic and this victory the beginning of a new phase coming towards a democratic and cohesive Syrian society in which everyone enjoys their legitimate rights."

	 

	The statement made by the PYD is as follows: 

	 

	"The leadership of the Syrian Democratic Forces officially announced today that on 26/1/2022, at 2:50 a.m., the great victory was achieved, and the prison and its adjacent neighborhoods in al-Hasakah city were liberated from the clutches of the terrorist organization ISIS, in a national epic in which all coexisting components participated and joined forces in it.  Syrian Democratic Forces, security and citizens to achieve this victory.

	 

	We in the General Council of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), as we share our Kurdish people and all the Syrian components in their joy of victory in the epic of liberating the prison in al-Hasakah.  and eastern Syria and was achieved thanks to the sacrifices and blood of the people of this community.

	 

	This heroic epic takes us back seven years, at the same time and hour, when the city of Kobani was liberated in a great cohesion between the field leaders and the citizens, so that the victory that shocked the world and all those who counted on the loss of our forces came.

	 

	A salute of heroism and glory to all our forces that participated and achieved this great victory, salute to all our media agencies that were side by side with the heroic fighters to convey the image and the truth to public opinion.

	 

	A salute of honor and gratitude to all the sons of our honorable people and the citizens of the city of Al-Hasakah, who were the real help in achieving this victory.

	 

	And a salute of honor to the martyrs who gave their lives on the land of Hasaka to liberate it and purify it from the filth of terrorist organizations.

	 

	A tribute to the wounded who carried medals of honor by their desperate defense of their soil.

	 

	Let us make this epic and this victory the beginning of a new stage to come towards a democratic and cohesive Syrian society in which everyone enjoys their legitimate rights.”
