Aysel Tuğluk to stay at Forensic Medicine Institude for 3 weeks 2022-01-31 16:16:45 ANKARA - While it was stated that politician Aysel Tuğluk, who was detained within the scope of the Kobanê Case, will be kept under observation at the Forensic Medicine Institude (ATK) for 3 weeks, her lawyer Ali Bozan reacted to the rejection of Tuğluk's request to be exempted from the trial, saying, "It is not a humanitarian and conscientious decision."   The ninth hearing of the Kobané Case in which 108 politicians are on trial including former Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co- chairs Selahattin Demirtaş and Figen Yüksekdağ are on trial continues at Sincan Prison Campus.    HDP Co-Chair Mithat Sancar, HDP MPs, Central Executive Board members, HDP Ankara Provincial Organization members and administrators, as well as many people attended the hearing of the case held at the Ankara 22nd High Criminal Court.   While politicians held in Sincan Prison were brought to the courtroom, politicians held in different prisons attended the hearing with Audio and Video Information System (SEGBİS). At the hearing, which started with identification, the documents and petitions added to the file were read. While sharing the information that politician Aysel Tuğluk, who is imprisoned and has health problems, will be kept under observation by the ATK for 3 weeks, it was stated that the letter written regarding whether the YPG is on the "terrorist" list or not was responded to.   REQUEST FOR EXEMPTION OF TUĞLUK REJECTED   Announcing its interim decision, the court board decided that the prisoner politician Aysel Tuğluk's request to be exempted from the next hearing since she will be in the Forensic Medicine Institude (ATK), was rejected because her defense had not been taken yet, but that she was excused during this hearing due to the fact that she had an appointment with the ATK regarding her health condition and it was decided that HDP former MYK member Berfin Özgü Köse to be exempted from the hearing.   'THE DECISION IS NOT HUMANE NOR CONSCIENTIOUS    Tuğluk's lawyer Ali Bozan reacted to the decision not to exempt Tuğluk from the hearing and told that the decision was neither humane nor conscientious. Bozan said: "There is a decision made by the İstanbul Forensic Medicine Institude. Our client will be referred to the Forensic Medicine Institude this week. We want her to be exempted from the hearing."
