Prison administration report claims Yılmaz died of 'Contagious disease' 2022-04-14 13:10:33   NEWS CENTER - 'Contagious disease' was written on the death certificate of Yılmaz who died as a result of torture in Silivri Prison as the cause of death.   The death report of Ferhan Yılmaz, who lost his life as a result of torture by the guards in Silivri No. 5 L Type Prison, has been obtained. According to Halk Tv, Yılmaz whom the prison administration claimed to have died of 'cardiac arrest', died of 'Contagious disease' according to the death certificate.    Ferhan Yılmaz's brother Hikmet Yılmaz made evaluations to our agency regarding the events unfold before and after his brother's death. Hikmet Yılmaz said: "Blood was flowing from his eyes, his nostrils were stuffed with cotton balls to prevent blood from coming out. There were ligiture marks on his throat. He had bruises on his chest and a 20 cm mark on his throat. It looked like they tried to choke him with a rope. It was Diyarbakır in 80's all over again. Prisoners were murdered with torture in Diyarbakır Prison in the 1980s, the same thing is happening in Silivri Prison today. My brother was tortured to death. Whoever is responsible must be held accountable before the law. We will file a criminal complaint against the prison administration."   The video footage taken at the hospital, revealed that Yılmaz was tortured and beaten.
