Iraqi Foreign Ministry to Turkey: Withdraw all your forces 2022-04-20 07:23:04   NEWS CENTER- Reacting to Turkey's attacks on the Federated Kurdistan Region, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry called on Turkey to officially withdraw all its military forces from Iraqi soil and respect Iraq's sovereignty.   The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Turkey's Ambassador to Iraq, Ali Rıza Güney, to the ministry regarding the operation launched by Turkey against areas such as Zap, Avaşin and Metine in the Federated Kurdistan Region. The Ministry conveyed the note to the Turkish ambassador, and called for "stopping provocative actions and violations".   In the statement that condemned the attacks, "Turkey's Ambassador to Baghdad, Ali Rıza Güney was summoned to the ministry regarding the operation that had been going on for the last few days and he was asked for an explanation. He was also given a letter containing harsh messages. It has been demanded that such acts and violations to be ended.   The Iraqi Foreign Ministry has officially called on Turkey to withdraw all its military forces from Iraqi territory and to respect Iraqi sovereignty.   The statement from the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs continued as follows: “Iraq has the legal right to take the necessary and appropriate measures in accordance with the international convention and the provisions of the United Nations (UN). Turkey must comply with the United Nations Convention and the rules of international law in the face of such hostile and unilateral acts.”
