KNK: Turkey's attacks are the continuation of ISIS 2022-06-16 12:14:11   NEWS CENTER - KNK stated that the Turkish state's attacks on Shengal are the continuation of the ISIS attacks which aims to subject the Yazidis to genocide.   The Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) made a written statement regarding Turkey's two separate bomb attacks with drones against the Sinunê People's Council building in Shengal. The statement underlined that 10-year-old Salih Xidir Naso and his grandfather Xidir Şivan Naso lost their lives and 6 people were injured in the attack, continued as follows: "We condemn the Turkish state and its allies, offer our condolences to the Naso family and the people of Kurdistan, and wish the injured a quick recovery."   THE CONTINUATION OF ISIS ATTACKS   Reminding the genocide attacks of ISIS on August 3, 2014, the statement said: "After the defeat of ISIS and since then, Turkish state forces have been attacked Shengal dozens of times over the years, targeting people of the Yazidi faith and children of Shengal and continue to do so. The attacks of the Turkish state are the continuation of the ISIS attacks and are carried out with the aim of genocide."   CHILDREN ARE MURDERED   In the statement, which noted that Turkey turned the Ukraine-Russia war into an opportunity, it was underlined that Turkey now wants to use these issues and intensify its attacks on the Kurdish people. The Turkish state has been attacking the Kurdistan Freedom Movement forces with all its might for more than two months with chemical weapons. The Turkish State threatens Rojava and carry out attacks against Rojava from time to time. Now the Turkish state is attacking Shengal and killing children. Especially in the context of NATO enlargement, NATO officials and representatives of many countries say: "We understand Turkey's security threats." This situation encourages Erdogan and his government and gives it opportunity to intensify their attacks on the Kurdish people. Do those who say, 'We understand Turkey's security threats', also understand what kind of danger the children of Shengal is in? Do they see how 10-year-old Salih Şivan Naso and his grandfather was killed? What do they say about these people? We want to hear them say something."   CALL TO DEFEND SHENGAL   The statement continued: “The people of Shengal need humanitarian aid. Shengal, especially the children of Shengal and people of the Yazidi faith, need to be protected, so we call on the humanist and democratic world and everyone with a conscience to stand up against the attacks of the Turkish state, to defend the people and the children of Shengal, and to stand by the people of Kurdistan.”
