33 political parties and organisations warn Damascus government for Turkey 2022-08-22 16:51:40   NEWS CENTER - In a joint statement, 33 political parties and organisations in Northern and Eastern Syria called on the government of Damascus to stay away from any agreement with Turkey.   33 political parties and organisations in Northern and Eastern Syria made a joint statement at the Diplomatic Research Center in Qamishlo. The Syriac Unity Party Co-chairman Senherîb Barsûm read the Arabic version of the joint statement on behalf of the party and the forces, and the Kurdish version was read by the Democratic Green Party Co-Chair Luqman Ehmê.   Drawing attention to Turkey's attacks on the peoples of Syria, the statement said: "11 years have passed since the Syrian crisis, and a peaceful political solution has not yet been found that will fulfill the hopes of the Syrian people for democracy and freedom. This is the result of the intervention of the forces against the Syrian people in this crisis and especially the use of some terrorist groups by the fascist Turkish regime for its own interests.   TURKEY TRIES TO IMPLEMENT ITS OWN INTERESTS'   Pointing out the dialogue between Turkey and the Damascus government and the roles of the Astana parties (Turkey, Russia and Iran) in Syria's destruction, the statement said, "The aim of the Turkish state was to invade Syria lands from the beginning. It used some terrorist forces for this. When it realized that the crisis in Syria would not go this way due to the new balances, it changed its attitude. This time, it is getting closer to the Damascus government with the mediation of Russia. The parties in Astana want to realize the interests of the Syrians away from their suffering. All these parties have a hand in the blood of the Syrians.”   THEY OFFER NOTHING FOR THE PUBLIC   Stating that the people took a stand against the agreement between the Damascus and Ankara governments for the Syrian people, the statement said, "The condemnation of the citizens in the occupied regions was great and they rejected the agreement to be made with the Damascus government. There should have been a great condemnation in the areas under the control of the Damascus government. Political forces reject these approaches because they offer nothing for the Syrian people. These people have paid a great price to build a democratic system,"   THEY CALL TO JOIN WITH SDF   The parties called on the government of Damascus to stay away from agreements with Turkey that would destroy the country and drive the people away, and urged them to listen to the demands of the people.   Continuing the statement condemning Turkey's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria, the following was stated: “We emphasize that we support the right of self-defense used by the SDF against the enemy. We call on the US-led International Coalition to put an end to these attacks of the Turkish state that benefit ISIS. We state that as political parties and the people, we have gathered around the military forces and support the politics of the Autonomous Administration."   At the end of the statement, the regime was called upon to cooperate and coordinate with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) to oppose Turkey's removal from Syrian territory and invasion attacks.   The names of the 3 political parties and organizations are as follows: Democratic Union Party, Democratic Green Party, Democratic Peace Party of Kurdistan, Liberal Union of Kurdistan, Communist Party of Kurdistan, Democratic Party of Kurdistan-Syria, Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria, Kurdish Left Party in Syria, Left Party of Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria, Kurdistan National Unity Party, Kurdistan Democratic Change Movement, Kurdistan Modern Movement, Kurdistan Workers' Union, Arab National Council, Modern and Democratic Party for Syria, Kurdistan Republican Party, Democratic Organization Party Syrian Kurdish Movement, Kurdish-Syrian Reform Movement, Assyrian Democratic Party, Kurdistan Brotherhood Party, Kurdish Democratic Day Party in Syria, Azad-West National Union, Democratic Society Movement, Star Congress, Democratic Conservative Party, Democratic Struggle Party, Democratic Party of Kurdistan-Western Kurdistan, National Coordinating Board (Democratic Change Movement), Syrian Unity Party, Future Syria Party, Kurdish Democratic Party in Syria (Parti), Kurdish Democratic Unity Party in Syria (P.Y.D.K.S).
