KNK Co-chair: Turkey's attacks must be responded to with a national spirit 2022-09-15 08:43:00   NEWS CENTER - KNK Co-Chair Zeynep Murad stated that Turkey wanted to expand its influence in Northern and Eastern Syria and the Federated Kurdistan Region with attacks and called for national unity.   Kurdistan National Congress (KNK) Co-chair Zeyneb Murad spoke to Rojnews regarding Turkey's ongoing attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria and the Federated Kurdistan Region. Expressing that the Kurds are going through a critical phase wherever they are, Murad said, "The current situation in the Middle East and especially in Kurdistan is very sensitive and dangerous. This delicate situation led the invaders to covet the gains the Kurds have made in Southern Kurdistan and Rojava today. Turkey's attacks are increasing day by day. Obviously, Turkey wants to revive its dreams of a new Ottoman Empire. It wants to return to the borders of the National Pact and to wage a great war for it.”   ATTACKS ARE INTENSIFYING   “The Turkish state planned the invasion in advance and is implementing this plan by intensifying its attacks every day,” said Murad, adding: “We all know that Turkey considers every place it enters militarily as its own territory. Therefore, we must stop these attacks and stand up against the occupation with unity of all parties. There is a reaction against the political parties in Southern Kurdistan. This, in turn, causes a weakening of national sentiment. But we must respond to the attacks of the Turkish state with a national spirit. All political forces and parties in Kurdistan should stand up against the attacks of the Turkish state. They should show their reactions to this occupation in practice if not militarily, and should not remain silent.”
