HDP to Iranian women: Your rebellion is our rebellion 2022-09-22 17:38:27 ANKARA - Stating that Jîna Mahsa Aminî, who was murdered in Iran, is a symbol of resistance, HDP Spokesperson Ebru Günay said: "We support the women's revolt rising from Tehran and Rojhilat, and we say 'your rebellion is our rebellion'." The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Spokesperson Ebru Günay made evaluations about the agenda at the press conference she held at the party headquarters. 'WOMAN, LIFE, FREEDOM WAS THE SLOGAN OF FREEDOM'   Continuing her statement by commemorating Jîna Mahsa Aminî who was murdered in Iran, Günay said: “I salute Jîna Mahsa Aminî and then all the resisting women, especially the Kurdish women who made their hair 'the flag of the resistance'. Salute to those who made Jin Jiyan Azadi(women, life, freedom) the freedom slogan of the 21st century. Amini, whom the Iranian regime claims to have died as a result of a 'heart attack', fell into a coma as a result of heavy blows to her head and  was not treated in time according to the death report obtained as a result of the hacking of the hospital's computer. Amine may have died when she was taken to the hospital. In other words, a 22-year-old Kurdish woman was murdered by the Iranian regime with police torture just because her hair was appearing." 'PERPETRATORS SHOULD BE FOUND' Günay said: “This aggressive and fascist attitude is not only implemented by the Iranian regime but also everyone living in these regions is a witness and victim of such fascist practices. The Iranian people, who from the beginning said that Amini was murdered as a result of torture by the morality police, have been on the street for days under the leadership of women. The protests have turned into growing resistance. It is demanded that Amini's death be clarified and the perpetrators should be found with the streets of many parts of the country be closed to traffic, especially in the capital Tehran and the province of Kurdistan, the birthplace of Amini.” 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH FOR THE REGIME' Noting that Iranian women knew that Jîna Mahsa Aminî was neither the first nor the last woman murdered by the regime, Günay continued her explanations as follows: " Woman is murdered. Iranian women are once again saying enough is enough to the misogynist oppressive regime! The women who opposed the murder of Jîna Mahsa Aminî and led the protests continue to make their voices heard all over the world once again against the tyrannical regime. In the streets of Tehran, women are increasing their resistance with the slogans of Jin Jiyan Azadi." YOUR REBELLION IS OUR REBELLION Günay said: "As HDP, which comes from a deep rooted women's struggle and is also a women's party, we strongly condemn the murder of 22-year-old Kurdish woman Jîna Mahsa Aminî by Iran's despotic morality police and we continue to say that every woman killed is our reason for rebellion. We never accept the male domination, male violence, the control of women's will and body, misogyny, being imprisoned with strict dress and hijab rules, and the murder of tens of women by saying that one strand of her hair appeared, especially in Iran. We support the women's revolt rising from Iran, Tehran and Rojhilat, and we say 'your rebellion is our rebellion'. We give voice to the slogans of 'Jin jiyan azadi' echoing in the streets of Iran from here and everywhere we struggle, by saying 'Jin jiyan azadi', and we salute their protests and resistance."
