Hunger strike against chemicals: Letter sent to relevant institutions

	DİYARBAKIR - Prisoners in Diyarbakır High Security Prison No. 1, the 3rd group took over the rotating hunger strike launched to protest Turkey's use of chemical weapons attacks.

	 

	The rotating hunger strike launched by prisoners in Diyarbakır No. 1 High Security Prison on October 24 against chemical weapons used by Turkey in the Zap, Avaşîn and Metina regions of Southern Kurdistan has left its 10th day behind. The 3rd group started the action, which the prisoners continued in groups of 3 and for 5 days each. The prisoners in the 2nd group Ferhat Onkol, Afaşîn Musazade, and Baran whose surname could not be learned finished their 5-day protest yesterday, informed their families about their aims.

	 

	LETTER TO UN

	 

	Sharing their messages in a weekly phone call, the prisoners said: “Attacks against Kurds are unacceptable in any way. As a part of this society, we have to be sensitive about this. Likewise, we think that all democratic institutions should be sensitive about this issue. We wrote letters to the relevant institutions, embassies, the United Nations and the Ministry of Justice against chemical weapons.”
