Lawyers removed from the hall in Dedeoğulları massacre case 2022-11-17 17:22:08 KONYA - In the case where Mehmet Altun, who murdered 7 members of the Dedeoğulları family, is on trial, the court board dismissed the lawyers from the hall upon the refusal of the judge. The trial of the lawsuit filed regarding the murder of 7 members of the Dedeoğluları family, who were subjected to racist attacks by the Keleş and Çalık families on May 12, 2021, in Meram district of Konya, by gunman Mehmet Altun on July 30, 2021 as a result of not taking the necessary protection measures after the attack, is held. At the decision hearing held at the Konya 4th High Criminal Court, the defense's request for an interim decision regarding the extension investigation requests was rejected by the court committee. The court, stating that the request was aimed at prolonging the trial, decided that the defendant should speak. Dedeoğulları family's lawyers demanded a refusal by the judge on the grounds that the court's behavior was not in good faith and in accordance with the law. The court board then removed the lawyers from the hall. The trial continues without a lawyer. THE MURDERER VISITED KKK The statements that came out of the courtroom made a statement about the attitude of the court board. Atilla Kart, one of the lawyers of the case, stated that they had witnessed dozens of illegal practices and said: “I have not seen a dire picture like what we are experiencing today. We see that the court panicked and wanted to decide the case. Today, it has been revealed that the murderer visited the Land Forces Command for a period of 70 days. ILLEGAL ATTITUDE OF THE COURT CHP MP Levent Gök, who followed the hearing, stated that the massacre was not ordinary and continued as follows: “We are close witnesses of the suffering of Çetin, the only son of the family who survived the massacre, since the first day. He was very worried from the very beginning. This massacre is not a massacre committed by an ordinary person. There are other forces and motives behind it. I am amazed at the minds of those who run a state. They ignored these allegations. We discussed this case in Parliament yesterday. We stated that the duty of the government should be to ensure equality among citizens and the state should do its best to ensure that citizens receive an equal share of justice. I was ashamed and sad to watch the trial where justice was murdered today. A family's wounds opened even more. The attitude of the president of the court in this case was an extraordinary unlawful and procedural attitude. It was possible to alleviate the suffering of the family. This is the president of the court. We've seen him get shunned by his extraordinary efforts. We have also seen that in this case, justice is out of the question. We have witnessed that the public conscience has been trampled underfoot. The state was once again overthrown by the judiciary. Those who made the judiciary this way should be ashamed a thousand times.”
