Demonstration against isolation on Öcalan in Diyarbakır 2022-12-11 15:03:04   DİYARBAKIR - The aggravated isolation and war policies on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan are protested in Amed.   Democratic Society Congress (DTK), Free Women's Movement (TJA), Democratic Regions Party (DBP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), MED Families of Prisoners and Convicts Federation of Legal and Solidarity Associations (MED TUHAD-FED), Lawyers' Association for Freedom ( ÖHD) and the Peace Mothers Council are holding a march in Diyarbakır against the war policies and the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan who is being held in İmralı F Type High Security Prison. Scores of people, including DBP Co-Chair Saliha Aydeniz and HDP deputies, came together at Oryıl Junction, Koşuyolu Park Life Monument and Batıkent around Koşuyolu Park. The police blockaded the road and its surroundings so that the crowd would not unite.   Protesting the police blockade, the crowd often chanted "Bijî berxwedana dungeons". A young man reacted to the police blockade with the words, "We do not accept this persecution, you will be tried in the courts."   Reşahat Ada, relative of a prisoner, who has been on staging a sit-in for justice for prisoners for a while, said, "We have no other demand than justice. Today we are here to put an end to injustice in Turkey."   Nazime Boltan, mother of ill prisponer Ciwan Boltan, said that their only demand was "justice".   The crowd continues to way.
