Earthquake victims leave the district 2023-02-13 11:50:30   GAZİANTEP - In İslahiye, where there is no trust in the promises made by President Erdogan of AKP, earthquake victims, who can remove their belongings from the destroyed buildings, are leaving the district.   The İslahiye district of Gaziantep, where the earthquakes in Maraş center on February 6 caused great destruction, turned into ruins. In the district, where the number of people who lost their lives exceeded a thousand, search and rescue efforts were stopped. While the debris is being removed in the district, the damaged buildings are being demolished on the other hand. While some of the citizens are looking for their belongings among the rubble of their destroyed houses, some of them take their belongings out of their houses where the words "to be demolished" are hung and leave the district.   Tekin Apartment Building, consisting of 40 flats and 2 blocks, built in 2008 in the district, was also demolished. İbrahim Hakan Durmuş, who lived in one of these apartments during the earthquake, showed the demolished state of the building and said: “It is not a very old building but the latest version is as you see it now.”   'REGULATIONS OF BUILDINGS'   Emphasizing that all those responsible should be punished so that the same suffering does not happen again, Durmuş said: “People have worked for years with the dream of owning a house and bought a house for 1.5-2 million TL in five minutes. The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Primary needs to inspect those who do not comply with the regulation and demolish the buildings that are not built in accordance with the regulation.
