
Statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office to 'examine the chemical'

	NEWS CENTER - The Iraqi Prime Minister's Office requested the commissions of the Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Region Government to examine the use of chemical weapons.

	&nbsp;

	While the attacks launched by Turkey against the Zap, Avaşîn and Metina regions of the Federated Kurdistan Region on April 14, 2022 in partnership with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) continued in its 10th month, thousands of chemical weapons were used against the region.

	&nbsp;

	Iraqi Parliamentarian Soran Ömar issued a statement signed by the Prime Minister's Office. The statement included an instruction to investigate Turkey's use of chemical weapons.

	&nbsp;

	The commissions of the Iraqi Government and the Kurdistan Region Government were asked to examine the use of chemical weapons phosphorus etc in the attacks against the region in the statement signed by the Iraqi Prime Minister's Office.
