'Aid does not reach Alevi-Kurdish villages' 2023-02-19 11:52:10   AYDIN - Volunteer Deniz İnce, who went from Kuşadası to the earthquake base Pazarcık, said that aid could not reach the Alevi-Kurdish villages due to the obstacles of AFAD and Kızılay.   The 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes in Maraş which is the epicenter affected 10 provinces. The wounds in the region are being healed with the solidarity of the volunteers. Deniz İnce, who voluntarily went from Kuşadası district of Aydın to Pazarcık district of Maraş which is the epicenter, talked about his impressions in the region.   Indicating that he went to the region right after the earthquake, İnce said that the city was almost dissapeared and just 10-15 people stayed in a small tent.   Saying that the Alevi Cultural Association Pazarcık Branch participated in the solidarity activities, İnce said: "Alevis and Kurds living in the region complain about the lack of aid. There are many Alevi-Kurdish villages in the district that did not receive aid. Incoming aid trucks cannot reach those in need due to the obstacles of AFAD and Kızılay. "    Indicating that there is a serious solidarity between the peoples living in the region, İnce said: "The people of the region heal their own wounds. There is a serious solidarity between the peoples of Pazarcık."   'GOVERNMENT PERSECUTE'   Pointing to the appointment of a trustee to the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Crisis Coordination Center in Pazarcık, İnce said: "I went to the region with the Aydın CHP Youth branches. I am a CHP member. HDP friends work very well in the earthquake area. They are one-on-one with their work in Pazarcık. I witnessed it. Incoming aid is distributed to those in need without any discrimination. Even then, the state persecutes people."
