Torture of 10 people detained on notice

	HATAY - 6 of the 10 people who were tradesmen in the İskenderun Flea Market and who were detained as a result of a tip-off and subjected to police torture were arrested.

	 

	M.Y., A.Y., A.Y., R.Y., B.A., C.Z., S.B., R.A., M.C.K. and M.B. who are Tradesmen at the Iskenderun Bit Pazar were beaten and detained by the police. It was learned that M.B. and S.B. were Syrians, were subjected to torture in the police station, and some were detained without shoes.

	 

	After the deposition at the police station, 12 people were transferred to the Iskenderun Courthouse. Prosecutor's statements were taken from 10 people who were kept waiting for hours in the courthouse corridor without handcuffs and shoes. The 10 people who were transferred to the Iskenderun 1st Criminal Court of Peace denied the crime of "theft about the goods stored in the building".

	 

	Court decided to arrest M.Y., A.Y., R.Y., B.A., C.Z., S.B. on the charge of "theft about the goods stored in the building".

	 

	A.Y., R.A., M.C. and M.B. were released on condition of judicial control.
