If we had reached the first day, my child would be alive now."   According to official statements, 924 people lost their lives in 300 buildings that collapsed in the Elbistan district of Maraş, the epicenter of the earthquake that turned hundreds of thousands of buildings into debris and caused tens of thousands of loss of life. In the district, which was abandoned to its fate by the government after the earthquake, earthquake victims saved their relatives from the rubble with search and rescue efforts with the solidarity of the people. The earthquake victims, who have been waiting for search and rescue teams for days, state that many people lost their lives due to late intervention. The earthquake victims who saved their relatives with their own means are also bandaging their wounds with the solidarity of the people.   THEY WERE UNDER THE WRUSH WITH 5 CHILDREN   Mustafa Adil, one of the millions of earthquake victims trying to heal their wounds, cannot forget the effects of the earthquake, when he pulled his child's body out of the rubble. Stating that he left the house with his wife, 3-month-old baby and 4 children aged between 2 and 11 after the first earthquake, Adil said: "Our house was destroyed in the second earthquake and they were left under the rubble. Ahmet is three months old, he is shouting loudly. Fatma is 3 years old, and Ali is 2 years old. Ali is on the other side. They shouted 'Mom, dad!'. We took the kids out. People outside helped us. That's how we came out from under the rubble. My relatives helped us not AFAD."
