Tents evacuated under pressure of 'bribes' and power outages 2023-03-01 14:59:36   DİYARBAKIR- Tents set up in Koşuyolu Park are being emptied as a result of pressure. The electricity of those who did not leave the tents was cut off even though they had disabled children and babies.   In Diyarbakır, pressure continues for earthquake victims to move to the tent city established by AFAD on the banks of the Tigris River or to return to their homes. The tent city established in Koşuyolu Park in the central Rezan district of Diyarbakır was evacuated as a result of the pressure.   Police and constabulary teams offered 2 thousand TL and food aid to the earthquake victims in return for emptying the tents last night. 28 of the 33 tents in the park were evacuated in exchange for a signed document after threats to stop food service and cut electricity.   TENT LEFT WITHOUT ELECTRICITY   The electricity was cut off in the remaining 5 tents, although there were still earthquake victims. In one of the families living in tents where electricity and food aid were cut off, there is also a disabled child and a 3-month-old baby in the other.   EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS HAVE TO STAY IN DAMAGED HOUSES   Some of the 28 families who left the tents were settled in the tent city on the banks of the Tigris River, established by the Diyarbakır Municipality under the administration of the Governor's Office and the trustee, while other families who did not want to settle there had to return to their damaged homes.   In addition, the police and the municipal police did not prevent or make any notifications to those who set up tents in the park with their own means, apart from the AFAD tents.
