'No history can be written without the Labor and Freedom Alliance'

	ISTANBUL - Giving the message that the Labor and Freedom Alliance will walk shoulder to shoulder, EMEP Chairperson Ercüment Akdeniz said: “We have opened the Third Way in Turkey apart from the People's and Nation's alliance. A new history cannot be written without this alliance."

	 

	2023 İstanbul Newroz in Yenikapı Square, where peoples meet, continues with speeches. Ercüment Akdeniz, Chairperson of the Labor and Freedom Alliance component Labor Party (EMEP), called out to the square where the slogan "Erdogan should resign" was shouted, and started his speech by congratulating the Newroz of the peoples. Akdeniz said: “Long live Newroz. Happy Newroz. Dear brothers and sisters. Today, dozens of lives have been lost in earthquake provinces and flood provinces, and we know the suffering of those people. As those gathered in this square, you show a magnificent stance of respect. We will talk about 2023 Newroz a lot in the coming years.”

	 

	STATE WILL GIVE THE ACCOUNT

	 

	Drawing attention to the solidarity in the earthquake region, Akdeniz said: “We saw left parties and HDP supporters in earthquake provinces. We saw KESK members. We saw labor and professional organizations. We saw you, you were there. If we did not have these organizations, the people would starve to death. The people stood up with our glorious solidarity. Istanbul also needs this solidarity and organization. The state sold tents there. They leave earthquake victims alone. We will hold them accountable for all of them."

	 

	THE COMMON HOMELAND OF THE PEOPLES

	 

	Akdeniz continued his speech as follows: “Today we are mourning and getting through bad days. We cannot celebrate our holiday. The days of our holding accountable are close. We will celebrate our wedding and our holiday together on May 15th. The end of the road is visible from above. Together we will send them to the dustbin of history. In this country, they will not resign, we will send them. Are you ready for mobilization work? Are you ready to send the cruel power? Then we will fall them. This country will not be a country where 'Green' and 'White Taurus' photos are shown to the public in the Bursaspor-Amedspor match. It will be the common homeland of the peoples."

	 

	'WE OPENED THE THIRD WAY'

	 

	As the Labor and Freedom Alliance, we will continue to walk shoulder to shoulder. In Turkey, we opened the Third Way, apart from the alliance of the People and the Nation. No new history can be written without this alliance. Don't mess around. We will not be shaken, we are struggling, we will take our goal until the end. We will win, we will win together, the peoples will win.”

	 

	'ÖCALAN IS THE HOPE OF FREEDOM'

	 

	Speaking afterwards, Zeki Baran, Co-chairperson of the Federation of Legal and Solidarity Associations of the Families of Med Detainees and Convicts (TUHAD-FED), described the isolation policy of the government as "immoral" and said: "Millions of people are in isolation in the person of Mr. Öcalan. Millions are fighting for the freedom of Mr. Öcalan. Isolation is imposed on society. We say it once again, Mr. Öcalan is the hope of freedom.”
