Police could not identify the police 2023-04-18 16:29:24   MARDİN - In the investigation carried out regarding the beating of Nurullah S, who was detained in Nisêbîn, the prosecutor gave a decision of non-prosecution on the allegation that the police and the plate of the armored vehicle could not be detected during the investigation he had the police and gendarmerie commissioned.   After the Newroz celebration on March 21, 2022, in the Nisêbîn (Nusaybin) district of Mêrdîn, the young people who were detained were battered while the mass was dispersing. Nurullah S. and his family, one of the young people who were battered by the appearance of the video taken with their mobile phone, filed a criminal complaint against the police to the Nusaybin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office through his lawyer. The prosecutor's office decided not to prosecute on the grounds that the police officers could not be identified in the investigation opened against 6 police officers on the charge of "Misuse of Duty, Simple Injury".   BATTER, DAMAGE AND THREAT   In the investigation, the existing camera footage was included and said: “As it can be understood, the complainant was beaten by punching the left part of the head and shoulder of the complainant by kicking a police officer's foot, and also the 'heavy swear' against the complainant, the police said to him: 'you are a terrorist, you will bow your head down like a dog, I will kill you, I will beat you.'   THE POLICE DIDN'T DETECT THE POLICE!   It was noteworthy that the prosecutor's office, which requested expert reports for the detection of the armored vehicles and police in the image, also based its decision of non-prosecution on these reports and examinations. In the decision of non-prosecution, it was claimed that the plate and code of the armored vehicle could not be detected due to the expert report of the Mardin Provincial Gendarmerie Command, because the video had a single angle, the image quality and resolution was low, the vehicle was dark in color and there were noises (distortions) in the video. In the investigation of the camera footage, the prosecutor stated that the 6 police officers involved in the incident were numbered and the person who carried out the action was person number 4, but because the image quality was not good or bad, the Nusaybin District Gendarmerie Command and the Nusaybin District Police Department made a separate investigation, stating that it was not possible to determine the minutes.
