It was stated that Êzidî representatives moved twice to go to Shengal, but were stopped and prevented in Kesk District, located west of Mosul. The representatives, who passed dozens of checkpoints, were stopped by the National Security Unit in Kesk.   According to the Êzidî belief, tomorrow is the festival of Çarşema Serê Nîsanê (the first Wednesday of April), which means the day of the creation of the universe. It is the most meaningful day of the year for Êzidî who welcome the feast with joy. Shengal is known as the center where this holiday is celebrated. Every year, Êzidî and their friends from many countries go to Shengal and celebrate this holiday.   On April 18 last year, while the Êzidî people were preparing to celebrate Çarşema Serê Nîsanê, Iraqi security forces attacked the Êzidxan Public Order and did not respect the sacred values of the Êzidî people.
