Agricultural women: Vote for Green Left Party for our labor 2023-04-19 12:36:13   İZMİR - Women, who were oppressed by the economic crisis, poverty and the difficulties of working conditions, stated that they would vote for the Green Left Party so that their labor could be seen, and said: "Change is a must."   While the political parties are preparing for the Presidential and general elections on May 14, labor exploitation and elections are also on the agenda of agricultural workers who earn their living by collecting rockets in the Menderes district of İzmir. Agricultural women are trying to make a living by working under the scorching heat of summer and under greenhouses in winter. Women who start working early in the morning work until late at night. Women, whose working hours are not certain, are crushed by the economic crisis, poverty and the difficulties of working conditions.   WOMEN WORKER: CHANGE IS A MUST   Women who said that they could not get anything with their daily wages of 300 TL stated that their labor was worthless. Women struggling to survive under all these difficulties are closely following the May 14 elections. Women are in favor of change for the visibility of their labor and for a humane life.   'WE CAN'T EARN A LIVING'   Şükran Kuş, who has been working as an agricultural worker for 20 years, explained that she has been working in the greenery business and said: "We have never had such a financial problem. We started working in the early hours of the morning and worked until late in the evening, but We could not make a living. There is no fixed hour for this job. Our daily wage is 300 TL. We are closely following the May 14 elections. We are Kurdish and we will vote for the Kurdish candidates who represent us. We can win by fighting shoulder to shoulder as a people. We can overcome these difficulties we are experiencing. To what extent is oppression, exploitation... We will vote for all these to the Green Left. We will give it to you."   EXPLOITATION OF LABOR   Sarya Biçen, who has been an agricultural worker for 10 years, stated that they work for bread and butter both summer and winter. Kuş, who complains that everything is expensive, said: "We work, but it does not even meet the needs we earn. We cannot meet the smallest needs of our children. We work so hard. We do not get the return of our labor. Money has no value. In the past, if a member of the family worked, we could make a living. Now it is in the family. We can't even feed ourselves with 300 TL of money."    THE AGENDA OF WOMEN IS THE ELECTION   Kuş, who wanted a system to be created in the May 14 elections where the people could be satisfied and would not struggle with the economic crisis, said: "I want a peaceful country for ourselves and our children. I want people who can change this system and meet the demands of the people to win. One person has been ruling the country for 20 years. There must be change, we want to see that different people can lead, not just one person."   Pointing out that the female candidates of the Green Left Party visited them, Kuş said: "We are very pleased. They are sincere. I have not been in such an environment for a long time. That's why I want to vote for the Green Left Party, which I feel close to and whom I find sincere. We vote for the Green Left Party for our labor.”
