	İZMİR - It has been learned that the detained journalist Delal Akyüz was taken into custody as part of an investigation launched in 2021 and there is a restraining order in the file.

	 

	Mesopotamia Agency (MA) reporter Delal Akyüz was detained in İzmir early in the morning as part of an investigation conducted by the Mersin Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Lawyers who met with Akyüz stated that their clients were detained as part of an investigation launched in 2021 and that they were charged with "being a member of a terrorist organization". It was learned that there was a restraining order in Akyüz's file.

	 

	It was noted that instructions are awaited from Mersin Police for the statement of Akyüz, who is being held in İzmir Provincial Security Directorate. It was stated that Akyüz's statement will be taken in Izmir.
