Investigation into the news of "Garrison Commander arrested for sexual abuse of 15 soldiers"

	ISTANBUL - An investigation has been launched on the news of MA's "Garrison Commander arrested for sexual abuse of 15 soldiers", whose access was blocked, upon the complaint of the commander mentioned in the news.

	 

	After the Mezopotamya Agency's (MA) news coverage with the headline "Sakarya Garrison Commander arrested for sexual abuse of 15 soldiers" on October 10 was blocked, an investigation was launched upon the complaint of Sakarya Garrison Commander Staff Colonel Fahri Can Çağlar, whose name was mentioned in the news. Diren Yurtsever, Managing Editor of MA, testified within the scope of the investigation initiated by the Sakarya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Yurtsever, whose statement was taken at the Taksim Police Station, stated that the incident was newsworthy and that the right of the society to be informed was ensured.
