	AMED - Lawyers who made a statement in front of the courthouse after the hearing of the murdered Amed Bar Association President Tahir Elçi said that they will continue the struggle to reveal the material truth.

	 

	Lawyers made a statement in front of the courthouse after the 7th hearing of Tahir Elçi, who was murdered while making a statement in front of the Four-Legged Minaret on November 28, 2015, during the curfews announced in Sur, while he was the president of the Amed Bar Association.

	 

	The Amed Bar Association, regional bar associations, members of the Union of Turkish Bar Associations (TBB), the Greens and Left Future Party (Green Left Party), the executives of the Lawyers Association for Freedom (ÖHD), Tahir Elçi's wife and CHP MP Türkan Elçi, CHP MP Sezgin Tanrıkulu , Green Left Party MP Halide Türkoğlu attended.

	 

	HOPE OF DISCOVERY

	 

	Tuğçe Duygu Köksal, one of the lawyers who spoke first here, said that they had hopes of discovery at the hearing, but this was rejected.

	 

	CALL FOR TRIAL

	 

	Van Bar Association President Sinan Özaraz said that they did not see a fair trial both within the scope of the ongoing investigation and in the trial. Reminding that the court board rejected the demands of the participating attorneys that reveal the truth in the trial, Özaraz said: “We did not see a fair trial even in the interim decisions made by the court. We make the following call to both the political power and the public; The president of Tahir, who devoted his life to an unsolved murder, and his trust should be protected.”

	 

	Tekirdağ Bar Association President Egemen Gürcün said: “We have seen once again in the file today that no progress has been made yet. We state that we will follow up the effective trial in Turkey so that it happens for Tahir president as soon as possible.”
