Public meetings: Issues cannot be solved without lifting the isolation 2023-07-26 13:57:27   ŞIRNAK - Green Left Party MPs said that during the public meetings they held in Botan, the emphasis was that the problems cannot be resolved without lifting the isolation on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.   As part of the restructuring process of the Greens Left and Future Party (Green Left Party) and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), public meetings continue. The Green Left Party and HDP, which carry out every stage of the restructuring process with the public, will organize workshops in many cities based on the results of the meetings. The Green Left Party and HDP, which will determine the roadmap for the new period, will complete this process with a congress.   Green Left Party Şirnex MPs Newroz Uysal and Zeki İrmez evaluated the public meetings held in Botan with intense participation from village to village in the city center and districts and marked by the isolation against PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan.   IT IS AIM TO BUILD THE NEW PROCESS   Emphasizing the importance of the public meetings held within the scope of the restructuring process of his party, through the election results, Green Left Party Deputy Zeki İrmez said: “We have goals in terms of how we can better build and expand our organization and ideology together with our people. For this reason, we took meetings with our people and started a new movement by walking around town by district, neighborhood by neighborhood, village by village in Botan. We have a goal to build a new process."   THE BASIS OF THE ISSUES IS IMRALI ISOLATION   Noting that the isolation imposed upon PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan marked the meetings, İrmez said: "Our people emphasized that 'None of Turkey's issues can be solved without lifting the isolation imposed upon Mr. Öcalan'. Another striking criticism was the gradual weakening of ties between our party and the people. We could not sufficiently involve the public in decision-making. More contact could have been made to the public through the Neighborhood Assemblies.”   Underlining that organization is the main agenda alongside the elections, İrmez said: “This century is the century of the Kurds. This is the hope of the people. Together with our people, we will increase the struggle. We will ensure that our people will have a century of freedom and peace."   MA / Mehmet Güleş
