At least 463 people detained in Rojhilat and Iran in September 2023-10-03 16:21:34   NEWS CENTER - At least 463 people were detained by regime forces in Iran and Rojhilat in September.   According to data compiled by the Norway-based Hengaw Human Rights Organization, at least 463 people were detained in the cities of Iran and Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan) in September. This figure represents a 75 percent increase compared to the 264 people detained in the previous August.   According to Hengaw's statistics, at least 203 Kurds were detained in September. This number constituted 44 percent of the total detentions across the country last month.   Arbitrary detention of religious minority activists continued in September, similar to previous months, and at least 17 religious minority activists were detained by regime forces. Among those arrested were 8 Baha'i supporters, 4 women and 4 men.   THERE ARE ALSO WOMEN AND CHILDREN   According to statistics, at least 51 women were detained across Iran last month. This number constituted 11 percent of all detentions. Additionally, 50 children under the age of 18 were detained or forcibly disappeared during the same period. 37 percent of the children were detained in the cities of Baloch, 10 of them were Kurdish, and 2 of them were detained in the cities of Mashhad and Tehran.   According to statistics, at least 4 students, at least four journalists and media activists, as well as 14 artists and actors were detained in September.
