Internationalist young people sent to GGM 2023-10-13 10:35:28   RIHA - Internationalist young people who were detained due to violence in Riha were sent to the Repatriation Center.   15 internationalist young people, who were detained by the police due to violence during the statement made in Riha(Urfa) yesterday against Turkey's attacks on Northern and Eastern Syria, were sent to the Repatriation Center (GGM). 15 internationalist young people who came to attend the Green Left Party's congress to be held in Ankara on October 15 and who were in Kurdistan for a series of visits, as well as HDP Youth Council members Livan Orman, Senem Eriş, Sadullah Bircan and Mizgin Çiftçi, were detained in yesterday's protest. .   'THE POLICE STOLE MY GOLD NECKLACE'   The young people were first taken to Emin Çavuş Police Station, located in the central Haliliye district. It was learned that the young people, who were held in the police vehicle with handcuffs behind their backs for 3 hours, were beaten after they shouted slogans. The young people then sang the song Bella Ciao (Ciao Bella). The attempts of lawyers who are members of the Association of Lawyers for Freedom (ÖHD), the Human Rights Association (İHD) and the Urfa Bar Association did not yield any results and the back handcuffs were not removed. The police confiscated the teenagers' phones to obtain images.   In their statements, the young people filed a criminal complaint against the police officers who used violence against them. Ariel Castagnieri, one of the young people, stated that his gold necklace was stolen by the police who attacked him. Lawyer Ali Arslan, who took Castagnieri's statement, stated that it is not prohibited to take images of police officers in public places and asked for an investigation to be opened against the police officers.   Caroline Förster, one of the young people, said that the blood sugar meter on her arm was torn off by the police who beat her and she was injured.   THE INTERNATIONALISTS WERE SENT TO GGM   After the procedures at the police station, the young people were taken to the Provincial Security Branch. At the branch, statements were taken from young people on the allegation of "violation of law no. 2911". The young people, who denied the accusations, repeated the statements they gave at the police station and complained about the police who tortured them. After their statements, 15 young people were sent to the Provincial Migration Management Repatriation Center (GGM).   The names of the young people sent to GGM are as follows: Ariel Castagnieri, Frederico Pastoris, Francesca Fabozzi, Luigi Botta, Lucia Troiani, Caroline Förster, Marin Nathan Gutierrez, Friederike Gilhaus, Kim Aileen Utsch, Thao My Nguyen, Fridolin Wagner, Laura Schölzel, Sarah Marisa Baecker , Marvin Brinkmann and Taraneh Sanaei Parvar.
