	AMED – The parents of Rozerin Çukur (16), who was murdered by sniper fire on January 8, 2016, during the curfew in Sur, visited their daughter's grave on the anniversary.

	 

	16-year-old high school student Rozerin Çukur, who was shot and murdered by snipers on January 8, 2016, when the operations initiated by declaring a curfew in the central Sur district of Amed continued, was not forgotten on the 8th anniversary of her disappearance.

	 

	Her parents, Fahriye and Mustafa Çukur, visited their daughter's grave in Herîdan (Kırkpınar) Village Cemetery in Pîran (Dicle) district.

	 

	Her parents placed the flowers they brought on their daughter's grave and read prayers. The mother, who hugged the gravestone of her longed-for daughter, shed tears for a long time.

	 

	Mother Fahriye Çukur, who had emotional moments at her daughter's grave, stated that she sent Rozerin to school 8 years ago today, but received the bad news.

	 

	Mother Fahriye Çukur said: “My daughter's dream was to become a doctor and be beneficial to her people, but they murdered her. Her voice has been missing in my home for 8 years. My daughter was not a 'terrorist'. She had a notebook and pen in her hands. You are a martyr of Kurdistan. My Rozerin, you are gone but I have a thousand Rozerins. I'm proud of you. I will pursue your cause both in this world and the next. As long as your mother is alive, she will come to your grave. It is my will that when I die, they must bury me next to you."
