Transferred prisoner beaten

	WAN - Vefa Yılmaz, who was transferred to Kavak Type S Closed Prison, stated that he was beaten because he refused to be strip-searched. 

	Prisoner Vefa Yılmaz in Rize Type L Closed Prison was transferred to Samsun Kavak Type S Closed Prison on January 29. In his phone call with his family yesterday, Yılmaz stated that he was beaten both during the transfer and in the prison he was taken to. Stating that he was beaten after he refused to be strip-searched, Yılmaz stated that he was held in a solitary cell. Yılmaz stated that he would file a criminal complaint against the violence he experienced.
