
Journalists were detained in Izmir

	İZMİR - 5 reporters of Mezopotamya Agency, JINNEWS, Gazete Duvar and DEM Party press staff were detained in İzmir.

	In Izmir, police raided journalists' houses in the morning. Mezopotamya Agency (MA) reporters Semra Turan, Delal Akyüz and Tolga Güney, JINNEWS reporter Melike Aydın and Gazete Duvar reporter Cihan Başakçıoğlu were detained. Additionally, Fatma Funda Akbulut, press worker of the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), was also detained.

	6 people, whose reasons for detention cannot be learned, are being held at the TEM Branch in Çankaya. It was learned that there was a 24-hour lawyer restriction in the file.
