New 3-month family visit ban to Abdullah Öcalan 2024-05-07 14:00:28   ISTANBUL - A new 3-month family visit ban was imposed on PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who has not been heard from for 38 months, on the grounds of "disciplinary punishment".     PKK Leader Abdullah Öcalan, who is held in absolute isolation in Imrali Type F High Security Prison and has not been heard from for 38 months, and Hamili Yıldırım, Ömer Hayri Konar and Veysi Aktaş, who are held in Imrali, were given a new 3-month family visit ban.   Bursa Execution Judgeship responded to the application made by lawyers to provide family opinion. The court stated that there is a new "disciplinary punishment" given to Abdullah Öcalan by the Disciplinary Board Presidency on March 28. It was learned that the decision was finalized on April 12.   Pointing out that the process was carried out without their knowledge, the lawyers applied for the disciplinary decision, file and evidence to be given on April 26. However, the applications were rejected. The lawyers' objections against the "disciplinary penalty" decision were rejected on the grounds that the decision was final.   ABSOLUTE LACK OF COMMUNICATION THAT LASTS FOR 38 MONTHS   PKK Leader Öcalan, who has been held in Imrali Type F High Security Prison since February 15, 1999, when he was brought to Turkey with an international conspiracy, last had an interrupted phone call with his brother Mehmet Öcalan on March 25, 2021. There has been no news from him since that date.   Applications made by the lawyers of Asrın Law Firm to meet with their client Abdullah Öcalan are either left unanswered or blocked by citing "disciplinary penalties".    MA / İbrahim Irmak
